Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Over 350,000 people will suffer from sudden cardiac arrest this year . It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere and at any age.
Peters Township and the Peters Township Fire Department placed 14 new AEDs in service in 2016. These AEDs have been placed in the township buildings, police cruisers and fire apparatus. These AEDs allow us to administer life saving techniques prior to the arrival of an ambulance. In addition, 4 AED trainers were purchased to support the continuing education of various township personnel as well as our community.
