- Purchase a new fire extinguisher simulator and offer more public, adult-based fire prevention education classes
- Offer quarterly Public CPR/AED classes to help improve community response to emergencies
- Continue to conduct multi-agency training within the township between Police, Fire, and EMS on a more regular basis
- Update Fire Station 1 to help accommodate the needs of the department and growing community. Among the many added benefits, this will greatly increase the departments ability to host in-house training for all of its members
- Upgrade all self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) “air packs”, train all personnel on the new equipment and implement a new accountability system with the breathing apparatus for added firefighter safety
- Take delivery of the new aerial ladder truck, train all personnel on operations and place the apparatus in service
- Crews will begin the process of conducting an all hazard risk assessment for the community. The department will take a more proactive approach to Emergency Management by completing a hazard analysis, needs assessment, and update the Township’s Emergency Preparedness Plan
- Begin the process of a total review and update of the department’s policies and preferred operating methods to align them with current standards, as well as meet the needs of the community
