Drug Take Back Event
Once per year the Peters Township Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. The sites are manned by uniformed Peters Township Police Officers for the duration of the event.
The next Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the following sites:
- Giant Eagle (4007 Washington Road)
- Heisler's Market (601 East McMurray Road)
- The Country Store (698 Venetia Road)
- Rite Aid (4185 Washington Road)
